Lawrence I. Norgren, 82, of DePere, formerly of Stambaugh, MI, passed away on Sunday afternoon October 23, 2011 at a Green Bay Hospital. The son of the late Elmer and Cecelia (DeJuliana) Norgren was born November 9, 1928 in Iron River, MI. He married the former Muriel Makela in Waukegan, IL on May 7, 1951. Lawrence was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. Lawrence worked as an electrician at Red Owl Warehouse in Green Bay for over twenty years.
Survivors include his wife, Muriel, one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Jeanne Norgren, De Pere, two grandchildren, David (Erin) Norgren and Sheila (Dr. Michael) Halberg, four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Arlene Kaufmann and LaVerne DeCloux, He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held at RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere, WI from 11:00 am to Noon on Wednesday October 26, 2011. A Private Celebration of Remembrance will be held for family at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday at the funeral home with Full Military Rites to follow the service.
