Lawrence (T) Teofilo resident of De Pere, WI, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. He was born on January 31, 1947 in Fond du Lac, WI to Mary Valentino Teofilo and Vincenzo Teofilo.

He attended Saint Mary Springs Academy High School in Fond du Lac. He went on to higher education at St Norbert College for a BBA and UW-Oshkosh for a Masters in Education and Counseling.

He was married to Mary (Lutsey) Teofilo on July 31, 1976 and adopted both her children, Suzan and Steven, as his own.

After graduation he went on to share his gifts as a Counselor and Performance Coach at the St Joseph Home for Boys, Chilton Elementary School, Green Bay Family Services and his own Personal Growth and Counseling Center. More than anything he was a true believer in every person's potential, and he could find a way to help them discover that potential and grow.

He was a proud second-generation Italian American with 11 siblings: Joseph, Vita Marie Strange, James, Antonette Holcomb, John, Ron, Fr Eugene, Cecelia Kuepper, Mary Beth Kleefisch, Robert Paul, and Judith.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary; his children, Suzan Sherman (Robert Vanden Burgt) and Steven (Kris) Teofilo; and three grandchildren, to whom he bestowed the love of travel: Renell and Casey Sherman, and Jake Teofilo.

He was a strong believer in helping those in need, putting that in action by doing mission appeals and volunteering for disaster relief. To carry out that mission in lieu of flowers please donate to the American Red Cross or charity of your choice in his name.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for May 21, 2023 from noon till 4 at Gather on Broadway (139 N Broadway, Green Bay, WI 54303). All family and friends are invited. WI 54303
