Lee Cooper Jr., 74 of De Pere passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon April 19, 2011. He was born August 16, 1936 in Snyder, Oklahoma. On December 20, 1958 he married Carlyn Krueger. Lee was a Police Officer in Janesville before accepting a position in Port Washington. In 1982 Lee began teaching Police Science at NWTC, retiring in 1998. He was a faithful member of St. John Lutheran Church in De Pere, and enjoyed feeding all of the birds that came to his feeders. Lee served his Country in the United States Marine Corp. from 1954 to 1957
He is survived by his wife Carlyn, his children; Paul (Kyung) Cooper, San Antonio, TX, David (Irina) Cooper, Arlington, TX, Karen Rae Cooper, Verona, WI, Colleen (Dennis Cox) Philyaw, Manitowoc, WI. and Mark (Lynn) Cooper, Mt. Home, AR. Lee is further survived by 10 grandchildren; Arum, James, Steven, Steffanie, Jennifer, Jessica, Kevin, Brittany, Gavin, Morgan, and 1 sister Sue Ann (Bob) Fenrick, and 2 brothers in law; Ed (Lellen) Krueger, and Bob Krueger as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
His two sisters in law Eleanor Krueger and Sherry Krueger preceded him in death.
Friends may call at St. John Lutheran Church 1700 Lost Dauphin Rd. De Pere after 9am Saturday April 23, 2011 until time of service at 11am with Pastor Brian Cain and Pastor Andrea Cain officiating.
