He was the fourth child born to the late Lawrence and Lillian (Halderson) Stueber. Lee graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 1960 and joined the workforce at Continental Can making beer cans in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He returned to Sturgeon Bay in 1965 and while working at Worley's Bowling Alley met the love of his life and future wife Judy Sorensen. Lee and Judy were married October 15, 1966 and moved to Green Bay in 1968 where Lee was already working at Packerland Packing. Lee and Judy welcomed their first child that same year and in 1969 became foster parents. Over a span of 32 years they had one more child and adopted six. Throughout their foster care career they provided care for over 350 children. After leaving Packerland Lee began working at Alwin Manufacturing until his retirement. Lee worked in various leadership positions during his life to include Harbor Credit Union's Board of Directors. In 2009, Lee and Judy moved to De Pere, Wisconsin and Lee continued to work during his retirement first on overnights at Kohl's unloading semi trailers and then at his final job at Broadway Automotive shuttling customers around Brown County. Lee enjoyed sports including bowling, golf, softball, horseshoes, cross-country skiing, and pulling rope. He also hunted deer with his father and brothers, loved watching baseball especially the Brewers, playing cards and cribbage with family and friends, square dancing, and working puzzles. He was a member of Incarnation Lutheran Church, his Wednesday bowling team, and the 1952 Sheephead Club. Lee is survived by his wife Judy, children Kari (Mac), Jason Douglas Charles (Mary), Christian (Blake), Gina, Sue, Betty Ann, Tanya (John), and Jason Edward Matthew as well as his siblings Lynn (Bernice), Bill, and Peggy.
