Leland "Lee" G. Conard, 80, Green Bay, died peacefully Tuesday evening, October 3, 2017 at Rennes Health and Rehab Center, De Pere after a courageous battle with cancer. Leland was born November 12, 1936 in Green Bay to the late Louis and Elsie (Haszel) Conard. Leland graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1955.He was united in marriage to Rosella ( Rody) A Gerrits on May 17, 1958 and celebrated 59 years of marriage. Leland was employed Nicolet Paper Mill for 36 years and retired in 1998 from the Carpenters Local 1146 Union. Leland was a member of the Moose Lodge #801 and enjoyed playing cards and cribbage with friends. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family at their cottage at Kelly Lake. They spent many winters in Florida with friends. He is survived by his wife Rosella (Rody); his three children, Gary (Tammie) Conard, Larry (Rita) Conard and Lisa (Troy) Bauer; seven grandchildren, Alyssa Conard, Travis Conard (special friend Michelle), Eric Conard (special friend Nina), Alex Conard (fiancée Courtney), Brianna Bauer, Tara(Paul)Collins and Angela Bauer; six great-grandchildren, Owen Chambers, Paige Chambers, Secora, Stella, Sofia and Duke Collins; his siblings, Carol (Dave) Kolbs and Mary (Marvin) Burkel; brother-in-law, Clarence Gerrits; sisters-in-law, Dottie Gerrits, Audrey Manders, Carol Gerrits and Nancy Conard. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Debbie Conard; brother, Ronald Conard; father and mother in law, Peter & Jeanette Gerrits; in-laws, Robert (Lillian) Gerrits , Lloyd Gerrits, Donald Gerrits, Sylvester Manders and Kenneth Gerrits; sisters-in-laws, Evelyn Gerrits and Phyllis Gerrits. Visitation will take place at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, from 4:00 to 6:00 on Friday, October 6, 2017. Visitation will continue at 9:00 AM on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 2270 S Oneida St, Green Bay. Mass of Christian Burial begins at 10:30 AM.
