Leo David Mencheski, 64, Oneida, died peacefully at home on Saturday April 10, 2021. He was born on December 17, 1956 to the late Leo M. and Winona (Doxtator) Mencheski. On June 9, 1984 he was united in marriage to Sheri Powless at Church of the Holy Apostles, Oneida. He served his country in the U.S. Navy.
Leo worked for over 15 years at the Oneida Nation Farm, before transferring to the Oneida Nation Casino where he retired from.
Spending time with family, especially his grandchildren is what he looked forward too. An avid sports fan of anything Wisconsin, Leo also like playing cards, especially Sheepshead, bowling, and hunting. Leo was outgoing, and liked meeting people wherever he went. A lover of singing, he liked singing popular songs, or just making new ones up.
He is survived by his wife Sheri, their children, Christopher Mencheski, Aaron (Kayla) Mencheski, and Keshia Mencheski. Grandchildren; Myles, Liberty, Nevaeh, and Skye. Leo's siblings, Mitchell Mencheski, Patrick (Loretta) Mencheski, William (Ann) Mencheski, John (Mark Stanislawski) Mencheski, Gloria (John) Ponce, Nancy Mencheski, as well as Sister-in-laws Susan Mencheski, Kim Powless, his uncle Leon Brisk, and numerous nieces, and nephews.
Leo was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Edward Mencheski, Theodore Mencheski, his sister-in-law Donna Mencheski, Sheri's parents Benjamin and Lucille (Charles) Powless, and her brother Gary Powless.

A private Mass will be held at Church of the Holy Apostles, with burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Ryan Funeral Home, De Pere is assisting with arrangements.
