Leon J. Le Clair, 80, Denmark, died unexpectedly Friday December 18, 2010 as a result of an accidental housefire. The son of the late George and Mary (Taddy) Le Clair was born August 11, 1930 in Two Rivers. Leon served in the U.S. Marines Corp during the Korean War.
Leon was born and raised in Two Rivers and lived a full life which continued after St. Norbert High School and College and brought him to Alaska where he continued his career in Food Service. He taught Latin in Seattle High Schools. He enjoyed reading and traveling the world.
Survivors include his two daughters, Sarah Klacka, San Diego, and Mary Knudson, Germany, five grandchildren, two brothers, Allen Le Clair, Two Rivers, Raphael Le Clair, Manitowoc, one sister, and Ione (Ben) Graycarek, Menasha, as well as a special friend Larry Mc Mannus. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends may call at All Saints Catholic Church, Denmark, from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Tuesday December 21, 2010. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 am Tuesday at the church with Father Ron Columbo, officiating.
