Leonard G. Hess, 70, De Pere, WI passed away, April 6, 2011. He was born August 18, 1940 in Laona, Wis. to Leonard R. and Mariah (Baltus) Hess. Leonard was a graduate of Laona High School Class of 1958. He then graduated from the University of Michigan, School of Architecture. He was an architect in the Fox Valley, retiring from Berner & Schober Associates, Green Bay, WI. On July 25, he married Nancy Slezak in Appleton, WI. Survivors include his loving wife, Nancy; a son Leonard Jr. (Karen) Hess; Jackson, MO, a daughter, Julie (David) Becker, Baldwin, WI. four grandchildren, Isaac, Kailey, Evan, and Bennett; four brothers and sisters, Mike (Pat) Hess, Margaret (Myron) Hauser, John Hess, Mary (Dan) Graham; a brother-in-law, Kim (Sherry) Slezak; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Marion (Baltus) Hess. A stepmother, Levene Hess, and a sister-in-law Judy Hess. Friends may call on Saturday, April 9, 2011 from 11:30 a.m. to time of Mass at St. Matthew Parish, 130 St. Matthew St. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. with Father Larry Seidl officiating.
