Lillie J. Steffes, 64, of Hobart died Saturday, October 25, 2008 at home surrounded by her loving family. Lillie was born February 1, 1944 in Green Bay, a daughter of Van Roy and Rosetta (Coulon) Thomas. She married Robert R. Steffes.
Family and friends meant the most to her. She was an avid bear collector. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, sewing, and baking.
Lillie is survived by her loving spouse Robert (Booby); sons: Robert "Peanut", Daniel "Danny" (Sheri), Adam (Ruth), Christopher "Chris" (Neko), and Jason; (Baxter and Chance) grandchildren Rose "Alloway", Jesse, Cheyenne, Sommer, and Christopher "little guy". She is further survived by her brothers Gary (Ruth) and Michael (Ruth); sisters Jackie Thomas, Vickie (Kermit) Jordan, Carla (Curtis) Danforth, and Inez Thomas (Ed); sisters-in-law Winifred (Pidge) and Char; numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
A special mention of Lynette who was like the daughter she never had also survives Lillie.
Lillie was preceded in death by her parents Van Roy and Rosetta; brothers Bruce, Robert "Bobby" and Sherman; and sister Carol.
Visitation for Lillie will be Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 N. Tenth St, De Pere, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with Oneida Singers at 6:30 PM and Wake Service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at Oneida Assembly of God Church, Corner of Olson Rd. and State Rd 54 from 9:00 AM until service time. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM at church with Pastor Lonnie Johnson officiating. Burial will be in church cemetery.
