Obituary

Linda Ann Deau, 69, De Pere, went to be with the Lord after a brave fight with cancer. The daughter of Charles and Grace Ducas, Lin was born on October 22, 1947 in Green Bay. Growing up with her brothers, Linda enjoyed playing sports, spending time with her best friend, her mom, Grace and being with her six siblings. She attended Green Bay West and graduated in 1966. Linda spent the majority of her career as a supervisor at Humana before retiring and enjoying her time with her family and traveling whenever she could. On February 4, 1967 she married Thomas Holtz. They had three children together. Later in life, Linda married Rodney Deau on February 12, 1983. Whom she stayed married to until her passing. She enjoyed reading, knitting caps for babies in the NICU at local hospitals, spending time poolside, listening to music and watching movies. She was an avid Packer fan, but her real passion came out rescuing animals and spoiling her grandchildren. Linda is survived by her husband of 34 years, Rodney; her children, Dena and Tammy Holtz, and step-children Rob (Jan) and Dan (Kelly) Deau. She is further survived by her granddaughter, Shawnetta and five step-grandchildren, and brothers Mark (Paula) Ducas, Mary (John) Melendy, and Darrell Ducas. She is predeceased by her siblings: James Ducas, Lee Ducas, and Bevery Nault, her parents Charles and Grace Ducas as well as her beloved son Bradley Thomas Holtz. Family and friends may call at St. John Lutheran Church, 1700 Lost Dauphin Rd, De Pere, beginning at 9:30 AM on Monday, July 17, 2017. A Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at a later date at Lawrence Cady cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in De Pere. The family would like to thank Mark and Paula Ducas, the Deau family, and all of Lin's family and friends not only for loving and supporting her during her time on this earth but to celebrate her journey home to be with the Lord. They would also like to thank Unity Hospice for their kindness and compassion during this difficult time.
