Linda Kay
Kuske
August 26, 1955 — September 8, 2026
Green Bay
Linda (Mayer) Kuske, 71, passed peacefully on September 8, 2026, surrounded by her close family.
Linda was born in Watertown, Wisconsin, on August 26, 1955. Shortly after her birth, she moved to Chicago with her adoptive mother, Thelma Van Sleet, and her brothers. While growing up in Chicago, Linda enjoyed raising a little hell, causing a ruckus, and having plenty of fun with her brothers.
After graduating, Linda worked various jobs before becoming a mother to her first son. Two years later, she moved to Elgin, where she spent 12 years making new friends, building memories, and welcoming her second son.
Eventually, Linda and her two boys moved to Green Bay to begin a new chapter and start a new life together. Linda worked for Oneida Bingo and Casino for many years, where she met her special someone after knocking him dead with her big brown eyes.
Linda and Robert Kuske were married on May 9, 1998. Together, they spent many wonderful years celebrating life and cherishing Linda’s sons, their friends, and, eventually, their grandchildren. Family was at the heart of Linda’s life, and she treasured every moment spent with the people she loved.
Linda is survived by her husband, Robert; her sons, Kyle (Alissa) Kuske and Gary Jankowski; and her grandchildren, EK Lamkin, Caleigh Kuske, Khloe DeGrave, and Greyson and Gavin Jankowski. She is further survived by her brothers, Barry (Sue) Mayer and Jim Van Sleet; sister-in-law Diane Mayer; and many nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Thelma; grandparents, George King and Emily Metoxen (Doxtator); brothers Jeff Van Sleet and Randy Mayer; sister-in-law Van Van Sleet; nephew Derek Mayer; and niece Pam Mayer.
Friends and family may call to Ryan Funeral Home on Friday, September 18, 2026, from 3:00–5:00 p.m. A celebration of Linda’s life will immediately follow.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the ICU staff and doctors at St. Vincent Hospital for their hard work, dedication, and compassion during Linda’s final hours.
