Obituary

Linda Lee (Neadle) Lovell, 72, passed away at the Court at Eden Vista Memory Care on May 29 with family by her side. She was born in Fulton, NY on October 3 , 1952, to the late Beverly and Leland Neadle.

Linda spent her early life in Mexico, NY. She met the love of her life, Jim Lovell, at a mutual friend's party when she was 13 and he was 15. They had a gunshot wedding on October 11, 1969, in Camillus, NY, welcomed baby Tracy the following May, and Kevin three years later in August.

In 1976, they moved to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where Linda's personality came shining through. Being so far from family, they quickly made friends and built a support system with neighbors. Mom always found ways to be involved with kids — her own and others. She was a cafeteria monitor at our elementary school, where kids quickly learned not to say "Yuck!" in front of Mom, or they would have to try whatever was served. Many kids found out they liked diverse types of food.

Mom was always busy yet found time to complete her high school diploma and graduate from Escanaba High School. After moving to the edge of the national forest, Mom quickly got involved with the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts to support her kids. Jim and Linda loved their time there, and activities included long walks with neighbors, berry picking, fishing and watching sports. The Lovell Household was always a gathering place for kids, friends and neighbors.

In June 1986, the family moved to Portage, IN, and a couple years later to Albany, NY. No matter the place, Mom always made sure the family was making memories. In August 1993, Jim and Linda moved to Green Bay where they've stayed for the past 30+ years. Once again, they quickly made friends with neighbors and always had a warm pot of coffee ready for good conversations.

Linda had many interests including sewing, crocheting, making anything and everything along with Dad, using plastic canvas to solve everyday problems (including rust holes in cars), and baking/cooking. Of course, Mom's number one interest was kids — grandbabies, friends' kids and neighborhood kids. She was a caretaker and loving heart to everyone.

Linda is survived by her husband Jim; daughter Tracy Kreiple; son Kevin Lovell; grandkids Kim (Josh) Ewing, and Kiaeryn and Damo Lovell; great grandkids Leeshawn, Christopher and J.J. Ewing; siblings Wanda (Doug) Stevenson, Penny Maynes, Shari Neadle, Carl Neadle and Bill (Michelle) Neadle; and step-brother, George.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son-in-law, Peter Kreiple, brothers Leeland "Bud" Neadle, David Neadle, Step-Mom Lena Preeman and step-siblings Dickie, Suzy, and Donna Preeman.

Family and friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N Tenth Street, De Pere, WI from 1:00PM to 2:30PM on Wednesday, June 4, 2025. A prayer service will begin immediately following the visitation.

In lieu of flowers, because of Mom's love of children, donations are welcome to St. Jude Children's Hospital or any children's hospital of your choosing.

The family would like to include special thanks to the medical Staff at Bellin, Krystina Putnam (Palliative Care and an angel on Earth for mom), and Dr. Edward Bongiorno. To Moments Hospice: Thank you for all your efforts, kindness and caring, Diamond, Morgan, Sydnee, Samantha, Sophia, Danielle and Elizabeth. The team of caring individuals at Eden Vista for making a scary transition such a blessing — huge thank you to Breanna, Jenna and Tom, and the rest of the team: Jaedah, Jarrett, Janell, Shakera, Reese, Chyna, Kristine, Rosanna, Catty, Janet, and Deshire.

The family of Linda would also like to invite those who attend to come as you are, no need for formal clothing. Linda would've wanted everyone to be comfortable wearing whatever works for them.
