Lore Domke, 82, De Pere, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021. She was born May 11, 1939 to the late Albert and Clara Huebner in Eschenau, Germany. On May 14, 1958 she was united in marriage to Allen Domke in Baumholder, Germany. She followed to Texas, Michigan, West Point, and Florida for his service career and became the head of the family as he served in Vietnam. Upon Allen's retirement from the military, they moved to De Pere, and Lore was employed at St. Norbert College and Independent Printing. Lore was a member of Eastern Star, Trillium Chapter 270. She will be remembered for always willing to help others, and her great German cooking ability. Especially her Christmas cookies, and a German dish called Rouladen. There was never an empty spot at the table when Lore was cooking. When she first came to Wisconsin, she could not believe that we ate corn on the cob, because in Germany "they fed that to the pigs." She could not get enough of our American hot dogs. She enjoyed traveling, time spent with her grandchildren, and going out to eat with family and friends.
Lore is survived by her sons; Allen James (Michelle) Domke, Michael (Amy Jo) Domke, and son-in-law Mark Ferguson.
Her grandchildren; Shane (Devin) Ferguson, Amy (Shawn) Estes, Cody, Aric Domke, Brianna, Kyle, and Hailey Domke. Lore is further survived by her great grandchildren, Lincoln, and Marshall Ferguson, Rowan, and Maci Estes. Her sister Elfriede Kerl, and brother Albert Huebner.
She was preceded in death by her husband Allen, daughter Mary Ann Ferguson, her brothers Erich Huebner, and Karl Huebner, as well as her parents.
