Obituary

Loretta Hendricks Hansen passed away Wed, Dec. 22, 2010, in De Pere, at Rennes Health Center. She was born on May 18, 1917, In De Pere, to the late Anton and Anna (Hermes) Van Lanen. Loretta attended grade school at St Boniface and later received her High School Equivalency Diploma in 1979. Loretta married her first husband, Arthur (Art) F Hendricks, on Aug. 19, 1935 at St Boniface Church in De Pere. He preceded her in death on June 7, 1980. She than married Lyman Hansen on September 23, 1983. He preceded her in death on Feb 11, 2002. Loretta was active in her life with her husband Art raising their four children on their Mink farm in Rural De Pere. She loved gardening, ceramics and cross stitching and canning. Later she was a waitress and bartended at Century Bowling in East De Pere. She worked at AARP, Green Bay for years. Loretta love to go fishing with her brothers and often bragged about her catches. In life she enjoyed her six grandchildren and seven step grandchildren and later her many great and great great grandchildren who would call her cookie grandma for obvious reasons. She is survived by her children; Joan (Ed) Servais; De Pere, and their children Julie (Jamie) Boyce, Michael Servais, Michelle Heraly (Carl) Bonde and their children Logan and Brianne Heraly Bonde; her son Arthur (Arlene) Hendricks, Bloomington, Minnesota, and their children Brian Fish and his children Trenten and Sonya, Scott and Todd Hendricks and a grandaughter Carrie (Papez) and her son Craig (Biebel)from Loretta's deceased son Eugene A. Hendricks. Two stepdaughters, Bonnie (Jerry Capelle) Sacotte, Green Bay and her children, Nicholas and Christopher; Donna (Roy) Snover Green Bay and their children, Michael and Andrew; one step son Lyman "Butch" (Theresa) Hansen Jr., Green Bay and their children, Daniel (Jenny), Adam (Michelle) and Kenneth. She is further survived by two brothers, Lloyd (Ellen) Van Lanen and Jerry (Roseann) Van Lanen; her twin sister Lorraine Gersek, and three other sisters Doris DeBruin, Dorthy (Ira) Thiry and Jean (Darrel) Molzahn, and many nieces'.and nephews. Loretta is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Art Hendricks and his five siblings, her second husband Lyman A Hansen and his sibling. Her daughter Mary Lee Hendricks in 1994 and her son Eugene A. Hendricks in 2003, three sisters; Genevieve Giesler, Rachael Robillard and Marie Van Gheem-Smits and four brothers; Jerome, Dick, Lawrence, and Johnny Van Lanen. Friends may call at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church 220 S. Michigan Street De Pere after 9am Friday December 24, 2010 until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am with Fr.
