IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lorette Rosemarie
Mcguire
August 31, 1956 – January 18, 2025
Lorette Rosemarie McGuire, 68, passed away peacefully at her home in Greenleaf on Saturday, January 18, 2025, with family by her side.
She was born in Juneau, Alaska, on August 31, 1956, the daughter of Chester Bernard and Mary Ellen (Choloski) Wilson. In 1976, she married the love of her life Patrick McGuire at St. Mary Catholic Church in De Pere.
Lorette was a devoted member of the Wayside/Morrison Lions Club, North Eastern Wisconsin Miniature Hose Club, and SEW Horse Club. She was passionate about animals, particularly horses, and spent over 20 years attending the Brown County Fair, where she earned an award for her participation in August 2024. Lorette owned and operated Whispering Leaf Ranch, a horse farm that was a source of great pride for her.
A loving, caring woman, Lorette dedicated her time to others, often spending it with her children and grandchildren. She ensured each grandchild had their own special animal and enjoyed many activities with them, including fishing, shopping, and going to horse shows and outings. She also loved spending time outdoors, from bonfires and cookouts to decorating her yard with flowers, which she would talk to in hopes of helping them grow beautifully.
Lorette cherished her home life, including riding her lawnmower, feeding her birds, and making homemade meals, with chili and sloppy joes being her specialties. Throughout her battle with cancer, her dog Darla provided her with great comfort and companionship, and Lorette's bond with Darla was a significant part of her life in the final years. Darla accompanied her everywhere, and Lorette always made sure she had special treats and items.
Lorette is survived by her husband; Patrick, children; Todd (Wendy) McGuire, Lisa McGuire, Patrick (Kalin) McGuire, Christopher McGuire, Susanna McGuire, and Jazlynn McGuire; eight grandchildren, Madelyn, Emily, Addison, Patrick "PJ", Delyla, Alexis, Isabella, and Connor; siblings, Deborah Wilson and William Wilson, nieces, nephews, relatives, and many friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, father- and mother-in-law, and brother Gerald Wilson.
Family and friends may gather at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, starting at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 24, 2025, until the time of service at 7:00 PM.
Blessings to all the great friends Lorette has met throughout the years. The children would like to thank Patrick, Susanna, Lisa, and Julie Nivens for all the exceptional care and love they gave Loretta in the past few months. She is forever in our hearts; gone but will never be forgotten. A beautiful soul who touched many lives.
