Obituary

Lori Ann Parins, 60, passed away on July 30, 2023 after a courageous and hard-fought battle with kidney cancer. The youngest of seven children, she was born in Green Bay on July 11, 1963, to the late Sonny and Verna Mae Parins.

Lori graduated from Bay Port High School, class of 1981 and the University of Minnesota. In 1984 she studied for a semester in London and met two of her closest lifelong friends while traveling.

Lori's was a life well lived! For her work life Lori spent most of her years as a successful pharmaceutical representative using her wit and charm to sell drugs (all legal of course). Over her life and career she lived in Minneapolis, San Jose, Los Angeles, Naperville, and Chicago. But all roads led Lori back home to Green Bay to be near the rest of the family. She settled in a beautiful townhouse in DePere, only a block away from sister and best friend Tina. Lori enjoyed going to Tina and Jeff's house to hang out by the pool and take Mollie, her doggie sister, for daily rides in the car. She spent many hours watching the Packers and Brewers also.

Lori was known as "YaYa" to her 13 great nieces and nephews. She enjoyed countless hours of video, laughing at all the antics and fun things that the kids did. She also never missed a video of her dog children, Casey, Clifford, Hank, Mollie, Quincy, or Speck.

Lori held her friends and family very dear. She has many good friends throughout the US and some abroad. A common term used among them all to describe their memories with Lori was "shenanigans" - though we cannot share all of those "shenanigans" in this passage.

She remained close to all of them and relied so much on the prayers and encouragement that everyone sent during the last five and a half years. She was blessed with so many wonderful and caring friends who will miss her dearly.

In addition to good medical care, Lori's tenacity, life loving spirit, amazing sisterhood, family, and exceptional group of friends, all aided in her defiant fight until the very end.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Suzann Parins, brother, Corky Parins and sisters and their spouses, Dawn and Jerry Steffens, Susie Parins, Patti and Jeff Katzban and Tina Parins and Jeff Sittarich. Also, by nieces and nephews and their families; Missy and Steve Bousley and their children, Luke and Emma; Teri and Jim Ogiba and their children, Theo and Joel; John Steffens and his children, Cole and Bailey and their mother, Julia Steffens; Dave and Rachel Steffens and their children, Sean and Mikaela; Tracy and Zak Holschbach and their children, Maci and Logan;

Shari and Harley Griesbach and their children, Ella, Lincoln and Maverick; Cory Katzban (Emily Martin) and Trevor Katzban. Additionally survived by many wonderful friends and relatives.

Lori was preceded in death by her parents, Sonny and Verna Mae and her brother Dan Parins and dear friend, Shane Sorenson.

There will be a Celebration of Life in Lori's honor held on Sunday, September 17, 2023, from 1 to 5 pm at Meadowbrook Park, 670 Hillcrest Hts, Howard, WI 54313. Special memorial tribute at 2 pm.
