Lorraine C. Franken, 94, of De Pere died Monday January 30, 2017 at home. The daughter of the late Daniel and Mollie (Daley) Linnane was born November 24, 1922 in Wayside. She married James Franken on November 10, 1945 at St. Francis Church in De Pere. He preceded her in death on May 13, 2011. Lorraine was a great mom, grandmother and wife. She and Jim were co-chair of the Parents Club at St. Francis Parish and they were active in the lives of their nine children for many decades. She had a special bond with her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, who became her reason to live. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her children, Daniel (Joan) Franken, Mary Sue (Jeff) VandeLeest, John (Janet) Franken, Thomas (Kathleen) Franken, Timothy (Patricia) Franken, Jeff (Karen) Franken, James (Melissa) Franken, Molly (Paul) Gevers, Andrew (Anne) Franken, 26 grandchildren, 15 greatgrandchildren, sister-in-law, Audrey Franken and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two children, one grandson, Matt, three sisters, Mary Ellen Swan, Marjorie Barkelar and Beatrice Martin as well as one brother, Joseph Linnane. Family and friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday February 3, 2017. Visitation will continue after 10:00 am Saturday at St. Francis Catholic Church, 220 South Michigan Street, De Pere until time of service. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Saturday at the Church with Father Richard Getchel, officiating. Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, De Pere.
