Obituary

Lorraine Mae Thelen, 93, formerly of Madison, passed away Saturday afternoon, October 26, 2013 at Woodside Lutheran Nursing Home. The daughter of the late Herbert and Della (Koch) Schloemer was born June 17, 1920 in West Bend, WI. On April 22, 1944 she married Raymond Thelen in Madison, WI. He preceded her in death on February 18, 2006. Lorraine enjoyed playing the organ, playing cards, sewing, bowling, gardening, and baking. Lorraine will be deeply missed by her daughter, Joan Tanski; her grandchildren, Beth (Michael) Knoespel, Barb (Chris) Wendorf; five great-grandchildren, Emily, Ben, Michael, Becca, and Anna. She is further survived by her sister, Dorothy Goode. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Richard Thelen, her brother, John Schloemer, and her son-in-law, David Tanski. Friends and family may gather at St. John Lutheran Church, 2700 Babcock Road, Green Bay, WI on Monday, November 25, 2013 from 9:00am until 11:00am when a funeral service will be held with Rev.
