Obituary

Lucas Joseph Alberts, 35, Green Bay, passed away peacefully at home on September 9, 2022, surrounded by family, after a long illness. He was born September 17, 1986.

Lucas attended Syble Hopp School for 12 years, and most recently CP Inc. for the last 14 years. He enjoyed going there and was a favorite of everyone who worked with him. His energy and laughter were contagious.

His favorite shows were Wheel of Fortune and Sesame Street. His bedroom and playroom walls were covered with all of the Sesame Street characters.

Lucas is survived by his mother, Linda Gleason and stepfather Jeff; older brother Ross Alberts; sisters, Caitlin and Meaghan Gleason; and nephew John Sandri; as well as the large Alberts and Murphy extended families.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Alberts; brother, Ethan; grandparents Cletus and Dorothy (Collier) Alberts and Roland and Helen (Gille) Murphy; uncles Mike and Tony Murphy, Gary and Perry Alberts; cousin Shane Murphy; and other extended family.

Family and friends may visit at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2022.

Lucas' family would like to thank all of the workers at the CP Center for their extraordinary care for Lucas, especially LaDonna. They would also like to thank the doctors and nurses in the ICU at Bellin Hospital, as well as Unity Hospice for their care.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established for Lucas.
