Lucille "Lucy" VerHaagh, 90, De Pere, passed away peacefully early Thursday morning August 5, 2021. She was born October 16, 1930, to the late Albert and Margaret (Heyrman) Nackers. On May 6, 1950, she was united in marriage to Joe VerHaagh at St. Boniface Church, De Pere.
In her early years Lucy worked in medical records at St. Vincent Hospital, before going on to stay home are raise her children. She and Joe enjoyed spending many hours at their cottage in Lakewood, where they looked forward to visits from family and friends, especially the grandchildren. Lucy loved to watch sports, especially the Packers, she also liked to sew and was an avid conversationalist.
She is survived by her children; Joseph (Gail) VerHaagh, Donna (John) Roberts, Mike VerHaagh, Steve (Renee') VerHaagh, Pat VerHaagh, Kathy (Paul) Hermsen, and Mark (Jeanne) VerHaagh, as well as her loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lucy's brother Harold (Judy) Nackers, Joe's family; Rita Pamperin, Adele VandenHeuvel, Ruth VerHaagh, Vera Rudnik, Anna Roffers, Norbert (Elaine) VerHaagh, and numerous nieces and nephews further survive her.
Lucy was preceded in death by her husband Joe in 1997, and two grandchildren, Matthew, and Ashley.
Friends may visit after 9:00AM on Tuesday August 10, 2021 at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, De Pere, until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM with Fr. Peter Ambting O.Praem. officiating. Please go to www.ryanfh.com to send online condolences to the family.
