Obituary

Lynn Marie King, Yewisalo‧loks "She Gathers the Ice", 51, passed away unexpectedly at her home on November 7th, 2023. She was born on January 1, 1972, in Green Bay, Wisconsin to Lloyd "Butch" King and Celestine (Leaman) Denny (Randy) Cornelius.

Lynn was half Oneida and half Menominee. The granddaughter of Irene Leaman and Beatrice and Harold King. She was a graduate of Flandreau Indian School, class of 1990. Growing up in Oneida, she was always surrounded by close friends and family.

She loved going to the casino and spending time with her kids, nieces, nephews and all her grandbabies.

Lynn is survived by the father of her children Mike Huff; her sons Brent Huff, Terrence (Katrina) Huff; her grandchildren Meeko and Aelin; her goddaughter Ladonna "Teyunohsiyaks" Parker; her special great niece Leilani Lucas; great nephew Damon "Dayday" Danforth; her niece and nephew Damon Avery and La Nora; her sisters and brothers Sherri (Steve), Kim Moreno, Mark Moreno; Uncles Mike (Denise), Danny, Rick (Isabelle), Bruce, Scott, Dennis "Rocky"; her aunt Julie and great aunt Mary Jane Doxtator. She is further survived by her godmother Joan Leaman; her godfather Danny; her numerous first cousins Robin, Jeremy (Tiana), Dakota "Cody", Sean, Keanna, Michelle (Moon), Sheila (Robert), Gloria, Jason, Shelly (Dwight), Danielle (Pedro), Levi (Mercy), Derrick (Mariea), Ahsaun, Cameron, Tacoma, Scott (Candy), Bruce (Peggy) and Michelle "Shelly"; and special lifelong friends Roz Danforth, LeAnne "Kalihwiyostha" Thompson, and many other numerous close family and friends, too many to mention but are not forgotten.

She was preceded in death by maternal grandmother Irene Leaman; paternal grandpa Harold King; godmother Donna Shawanokasic; aunt Bertha; Uncles Carl, Leonard, and Bruce; as well as her brother Little Bear; and first cousin Stacey.

Family and friends may call Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N Tenth Street, De Pere from 4:00PM to 7:00PM on November 11, 2023. Oneida Hymn singers begin at 6:30PM, with A Celebration of Life that will begin at 7:00PM with Bob Brown.

Thank you to the rescue team, dialysis team, the firekeepers, those who extended condolences to our family and friends. And a special Yawᴧko to Bob Brown.
