Lynne Anne Jensen July 27, 1955 September 21, 2011 Following a hard-fought 5-year journey with cancer, Lynne was graciously called by God to join her daughter and other loved ones in heaven. She passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday afternoon. Lynne was a native New Yorker who grew up in Lewiston and graduated from Lewport High School, class of '73. She earned her bachelor's degree from Valparaiso University, where she also met her husband-to-be. Together, they found their roots in the Midwest, and sowed the seeds of a family in Wisconsin. The daughter of Gloria Montondo and the late William Rueter, Lynne is survived by her husband William Jensen, oldest daughter and son-in-law Kristin and Paul Simons, grandson Trent Simons, sister and brother-in-law Sue and Leo Vallone, brother Bill Rueter, brother and sister-in-law Carl and Randi Rueter, mother-in-law and father-in-law Robert and Lois Jensen, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Dave and Carol Jensen. She was recently preceded in death by her youngest daughter Kathryn, who also battled cancer together with Lynne. Lynne was a kind and generous soul who devoted her love and life to her family. A strong woman of faith and longstanding member of Hope Lutheran Church, Lynne was an inspiration to all who knew and met her for her courage, heart and humility. She requested that special thanks be given to Dr. Groteluschen, Dr. Cooley, and the nurses and staff of Green Bay Oncology & Radiation for their compassionate care and support. A visitation is being held on (TONIGHT) Friday, September 23, 2011 from 4:00-7:00pm at Ryan Funeral Home in De Pere (305 N. 10th St). Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Hope Lutheran Church in De Pere (700 S. Superior St.) at 2:00pm, with an additional hour of visitation from 1:00-2:00pm.
