Mabel E. Peterson, 78, De Pere, passed away Thursday morning, April 6, 2017. She was born July 18, 1938 to the late Edwin and Cecelia (Fox) Rosenthal. On November 29, 1956 she was united in marriage to Don Peterson at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna. Mabel assisted Don in the running of their business, Peterson Poured Walls, as well as running the household. She was a great cook and baker, and always had a treat waiting for her grandchildren. Mabel's greatest joy was watching her grandchildren grow. She was a long time member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Oneida. Mabel is survived by her husband Don, their children; Debra (Randy) Roes, Laurie (Brian) Thibodeau, Denise (Steve) Adamski, as well as her four grandchildren; Paiton, Adyson, Kersten, and Cade. Her sister Evelyn Gottfried and brother in law Hugene Van Kauwenberg also survive her. Don's family also survives; Louis (Ann) Peterson, Mary Ann (Jack) Van Gheem, Gordon (Mary Ann) Peterson, Orin (Jean) Peterson, Nancy (Jim) Jansen, Judy (Ed) Gonnering, Betty (Francis) Gonnering, Joanne (Gail) Helke, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; Arlene Van Kauwenberg, Florence Kilsdonk, and her in laws Orin and Johanna Peterson. Friends may call after 9:00AM Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, N5589 County Rd. E. De Pere. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM with Fr. John C.
