Marcella R. Powless, 91 of Oneida passed away peacefully on Wednesday September 7, 2011. She was born December 8, 1919 to the late Abraham and Caroline Sickles in Shawano County. Marcella attended grade school in Shawano Co. She married Peter Powless in 1935 and worked as a seamstress for many years. Marcella was active in Oneida Elderly Services and L.D.S. Relief Society. She is survived by her son; Matthew (Shelia) Powless of Bowler, and her daughter Sharon Funmaker of Oneida. She has 15 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, and 28 great great grandchildren as well as her sister Mildred Butler and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1972, her daughter Iris in 1991, and her son Kenneth in 2001. Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street De Pere from 5 8pm Friday. The Oneida Hymn Singers will sing at 6:30pm followed by a prayer service at 7pm. Visitation will continue after 9am Saturday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints in Oneida until time of service at 11am with Branch President Andy Summers officiating. The Oneida Hymn singers will sing at the church at 10:30am Saturday. Burial will take place at 3pm Saturday in the Roosevelt Cemetery, Shawano County.
