Margaret (Mrs. Otto) Brukardt, 89, died Saturday July 24, 2010. She was born May 11, 1921 to the late Andrew and Mary (Kurutz) Machurick. Margaret graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1939. She was a life long resident of the area, living in Abrams, Green Bay, De Pere, and Allouez. On November 9, 1940 she married Otto H. Brukardt at Blessed Sacrament Church in Green Bay. Margaret worked as a clerk at H.C. Prange Company in Green Bay for twenty-two years and later in food service at West De Pere High School from 1983 to 1999. She was active at St. Anne's Episcopal Church in De Pere, All Saints Guild since 1955, and she volunteered at the Christian Out Reach in De Pere.
Margaret is survived by her children; Sandra (Ken) Verhagen, De Pere; Mona Brukardt, De Pere; Gary (Karen) Brukardt, Nashville, TN; Marlene (Terry) Gerrits, Sun Prairie; 9 grand children, 16 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Shirley Machurick and Delores Machurick and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers; Andrew Machurick Jr., Michael Machurick; sister, Mary McDermid and brother-in-law Donald McDermid.
Friends may call after 9am Tuesday July 27, 2010 at St. Anne's Episcopal Church 347 S. Libal St. in De Pere until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Burial will take place in Suamico Cemetery. Please go to www.ryanfh.com to send online condolences to the family.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Margaret's name to benefit St. Anne's.
