Margo E. Duffy (Pliska) passed away too soon on 22 October, 2014. She was born 7 March, 1944, in Two Rivers, WI, the only child of Richard Pliska and Jane Pliska Backes. Margo was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and teacher. She married her high school sweetheart, James (Jimmer) Duffy in 1967 and the two enjoyed 47 years of marriage. She began her career in Marinette, WI teaching second grade and transitioning to the Green Bay area in the years following. Teaching was one of the greatest joys of her life and she devoted close to 30 years to this passion. She retired from NWTC in 2008 where she taught adult students English as a Second Language. Through these years of teaching, she instructed students who spoke 17 different languages and helped people create a foundation for a new beginning. Her creativity, artistic soul and love of whimsy were evident in all that she did. She passed her love of learning, and especially literature, to her children and grandchildren and enriched their lives with her presence. Margo is survived by her dear husband Jim, daughters Shannon and Erin (Duffy) Anclam, her son-in-law Jeremey and her cherished grandchildren India and Liam. She was preceded in death by her father Richard Pliska and mother Jane (Eugene) Backes. Per Margo's wishes the family had a private funeral together.
