Marian Clara (Brittnacher) Diny, of Greenleaf, passed away peacefully at home on June 20, 2025. She was born on January 21st, 1937, in Greenleaf, to the late Nicholas and Anna (Klister) Brittnacher. On October 3rd, 1957, Marian married Robert Diny at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Wrightstown. They celebrated 57 years of marriage, until his death in February of 2015.
Marian was a great blessing in so many ways to her family. She was a hardworking, loving, humble woman with a heart of gold and a gentle soul. She was a woman with a strong faith. She always put the needs of her family first. She dedicated her life to making a loving and nurturing home for her family. She was not only a great cook, seamstress, gardener, and baker, but also a great listener and friend.
She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, whether it was playing cards, putting together puzzles, or celebrating the holidays with them. She also loved feeding and watching the birds right outside her kitchen window.
Marian is survived by her children, Kathy Diny, Joan (Dean) Sherman, Jim (fiancé Faye Riesterer) Diny, Sharon (Rick) Van Der Wegen, Ron (Debbie) Diny, Carol (Kelly) Williquette, Lori (Randy) Verdette, and Paul (Jeni) Diny; 18 grandchildren: Matt and Mike (Annemarie) Sherman; Robert, Hannah, Owen, and Elliott Diny; Mark (Kate) Van Der Wegen, Nicole (Tom) Mazzolini, and Anna (Cody) Fernlund; Ryan and McKenzie Diny; Amber (Tapan) Sharma and Heather (Seth) Thomas; Karina Verdette; Zachary (Taylor), Ethan, Sawyer, and Abby Diny; and 3 great grandchildren: Tahir Diny, Oliver Van Der Wegen, and Eden Fernlund.
Marian is also survived by her sisters Charlotte Micksch and Rita Brittnacher, brother Nick (Gail) Brittnacher, brother in-law Tom (Angel) Diny, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert; an infant daughter, Anne; her parents; Robert's parents Frank and Alma (Sterr) Diny; brother Ralph; sisters Catherine (Gerald) Peters, Eunice (Norbert) Nackers, and Audrey (Marv) Fox; sisters-in-law Marlene Brittnacher, Florence (Norbert) Kersten, Marie (Paul) Lehman, Marcella (Vincent) Murphy, and Cecilia Diny; and brothers-in-law Tom Micksch, Clarence (Marie) Diny, Norbert Diny, Mike (Delores) Diny, and Joe (Gladys) Diny.
She was a long-time member at St. Clare Parish (St. Mary's site) in Greenleaf. Visitation will be held at church (2212 Day St./Hwy. 96, Greenleaf) on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 9-11:15a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Brian Wideman presiding. Ryan Funeral Home, De Pere is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be sent to Paul's Pantry, in Green Bay.
We love you so much, Mom! We are incredibly grateful for the time we spent with you and the positive impact you had on our family. You will always be in our hearts.
