Marianne I. (Grabowski) Jones passed away peacefully in her sleep at The Renaissance in De Pere on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at age 78. She was born on July 4, 1942 to the late Arthur and Gertrude (Seidel) Grabowski in Breslau, Germany. At age 6, Marianne's family came to settle in New Orleans, Louisiana and in 1998 moved to Green Bay. Marianne attended John McDonogh High School in New Orleans, Louisiana. After high school, Marianne worked in sales and customer service at Macy's, D.H. Holmes, and Dillard's. Marianne was united in marriage to the late Edward D. Jones, who preceded Marianne in death on February 5, 1998.
Marianne had an outgoing personality, so she loved socializing with people. She enjoyed laughing and being playful with friends and family. Marianne enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking, doing arts and crafts, and playing cards with family and friends. Once her grandchildren arrived, she was a doting and loving grandmother and wanted nothing more than to spend time with them.
Marianne is survived by her son, Christopher (Stacey) Jones. Five grandchildren: Amanda, Blake, Connor, Ian, and Alexa Jones.
In addition to her former husband, Edward, Marianne was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Merida, and her brother, Norbert Grabowski.
Entombment will be in New Orleans, Louisiana.
A special thank you to the staff at The Renaissance Assisted Living facility in De Pere for their kindness and care during her time there.
We love you and miss you, Omi! You will always be in our hearts. Love, Ian and Alexa
