Marie (Bushmaker) Renkens, 95, of De Pere, passed away January 1, 2009 in a local nursing home. She was born on November 18, 1913 in Allouez to the late John and Augusta (Janssen) Bushmaker. Marie married George Renkens and he preceded her in death.
Marie was an active parishioner in St Joseph and St Jude's Parishes in Green Bay and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish. She also enjoyed golfing, card playing, volunteering for mobile meals on wheels program, and she was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters.
She is survived by her children, Helen (James) Ricklefs, San Diego, CA, Sr. Marion Renkens, CSJ, St. Louis, MO, Jean Lofdahl, Madison, Paul (Monica) Renkens, Little Chute, and Dave (Bayje Pomeroy) Renkens, Santa Cruz, CA. Marie is also survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer (Tim) Adler, Craig (Beth) Ricklefs, Peter (Debbie) Lofdahl, Amy Lofdahl, Mieke (Chad) Scripps, Brye (Kris Wallingford) McCormick, Tobin McCormick along with her six great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister Theresa Vanden Heuvel, and her sisters-in-law Joan Bushmaker, Irene Bushmaker, Dolores (Renkens) (Stan) Rupiper, and Jane Renkens.
She was preceded in death by her husband George, her siblings, and her brothers and sisters in law.
Family and friends may call on Monday, January 5, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, Lourdes Ave. at Suburban Drive, De Pere, from 9:30 to 11:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Monday at the church with Fr. Tim Shillcox, O. Praem., officiating and Rev. Jack Mullarkey and Fr. Gilbert Jacobs, O. Praem concelebrating.
