Dallaire, Marilyn J. Marilyn "Lynn" J. Dallaire, 84, passed away on December 17, 2017. Marilyn was born in the Town of Faithorn, Michigan to the late Raymond and Lois Curran (Knapp) on January 2, 1933. Marilyn grew up on the family farm in the town of Faithorn in southern Menominee County, Michigan, the oldest in a family of three children. She attended Brandt elementary school and finished at the grade school in Faithorn, before graduating from Norway High School in 1951. She received her practical nursing certification from the Upper Peninsula School for Nursing in 1952. It was while attending nursing school in Sault St. Marie that she met a young serviceman named Victor. Marilyn married Victor S. Dallaire on December 27th, 1952. They lived in Green Bay before building a home in the town of Preble in 1958. The proud parents welcomed Steven, Theodore, James, Joy, Curtis and Michael in the following years. Victor and Marilyn celebrated 48 years of marriage before Victor passed away on October 1st, 2000. Along with raising her large family, she worked as an LPN on the geriatric and psychiatric floors at St. Vincent Hospital. Marilyn belonged to St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Green Bay, and after her retirement she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW. As a young woman Marilyn enjoyed bowling, and had many happy memories of her family camping outings. Later in life, she was often seen playing cards with friends at the Allouez Community Center, and liked to get together weekly with close friends for socializing and dinner. She will be missed by her children: Steve Dallaire (Rose Anne), Ted Dallaire (Mary), Jim Dallaire (Cathy), Joy Krueger (Dan), Curt Dallaire (Lori), Mike Dallaire (Julie); 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren (with another expected in July of 2018); and three great-great grandchildren; sister Patricia Meiner; brother Grant Curran (Marjorie "Markie"); sister-in-law June Lambert; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor; her parents Raymond and Lois Curran; grandson Marcus Dallaire; brother-in-law Harold Meiner and brother-in-law, Walter Lambert. Friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N Tenth St., De Pere, WI, after 2:00PM on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 until the time of service at 6:00PM with Pastor Diane Rew officiating. She will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
