Obituary

Marilyn Louise (Majeski) Parson, 75, of Suamico, joined the angels on Sunday, July 10 surrounded by her loving family after battling cancer with dignity and grace. The daughter of the late Lucien and Frances (Ptasznik) Majeski was born on September 23, 1946 in Chicago Il. She was a 1964 graduate of West De Pere High School, later pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Green Bay, where she graduated with honors. Marilyn married Robert Parson on July 16, 1977 at St. Boniface Church in De Pere. Marilyn enjoyed her travels to Jamaica, Cancun, and Graceland. She especially loved historic Galena, Il and had always wanted to move there. She enjoyed museums and could spend hours reading every caption. Moments that she treasured included visiting with family and friends, day long adventures which included a scenic drive or a visit to the Shrine and getting hamburgers at Joe Rouer's. She loved going to the movies, plays, and watching Hallmark. Marilyn also enjoyed concerts to see Cher, Frankie Valli, Paul McCartney, and The Beach Boys. Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband, Bob, and her parents. In addition to them, she is preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law Einar and Delores Parson, her son-in-law Bill Brutlag, grandson Peter Stevens Jr., and stepdaughter Diane May. Marilyn is survived by her children, Cyndee, Robert Jr. (Kimberly), Jeremy, grandchildren, Cassandra, Michael, and Ellie, and great-grandchildren Kayden, Desten, and Phoenix. Marilyn is also survived by her siblings Darlene (Tom), Mike (Terri), Linda (Jim), godchild James, and nieces and nephews. Family and friends may visit at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 17, 2022. A prayer service will conclude the evening at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, July 18, 2022 at St. Benedict Parish, 3370 Deerfield Lane, Suamico. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Nicolet Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. Our circle of family and friends supported Marilyn during her cancer treatment journey. Cyndee, Robert, Jeremy, Darlene, Mike and Terri, Linda and Jim, Dan and Nancy were all a blessing to Marilyn.
