Marilyn J. Smith 85, Ashwaubenon, entered into the more immediate presence of her Lord and Savior on January 21, 2021. She was born June 16, 1935 to the late Harold and Lucille Miracle. On June 30, 1962 she was united in marriage to Gordon Smith at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Green Bay.
Marilyn was a longtime member of West Moravian Church, Green Bay where she sang in the choir, was the church bookkeeper for a period and served on the board of trustees. She enjoyed singing, sewing, playing card, vacations with family, walking at the mall, and having lunch with friends. Marilyn was a Bank Teller and retired from St. Mary's Hospital Credit Union. Most of all Marilyn loved her family. "In our opinion, she was the best mom ever!"
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie (A.J.) Blazek, Jackie (Cal Pashouwer) Smith, and her adopted daughter Nancy Knapton. Her grandchildren, Ivan, and Caleb, as well as three step grandchildren, Leah, Emily, and Brayden. Her sisters and brother-in-law, Marilyn Miracle, Faith Miracle, Clyde (Barb) Smith, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband Gordon, and two brothers, Ken, and Bob Miracle.
Due to Covid, a private family service will take place at 11:00AM Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at West Moravian Church with Pastor Marian Boyle – Rohloff officiating. Ryan Funeral Home, De Pere is assisting the family with arrangements. Due to COVID the service for Marilyn is private.
