Mark Thomas Schaut, son of Ruth Schaut, the late Thomas Schaut (Marina) was born on February 22, 1968 in Detroit Michigan. He was a graduate of Bishop Foley High School in Madison Heights Michigan and went on to Gogebic Community College in Ironwood, MI. At an early age Mark had a love for drumming and was part of his high school competition marching band. He loved working in the woods with his grandfather, the late Olaf Vicklund where he learned how to drive a world war II Jeep, run a chainsaw, and skid trees. Mark loved working with his hands and carpentry was natural fit. He was currently employed at Van Rite and Father (De Pere) as a carpenter. He was known to have a huge heart and equally big personality, he was a tell it like it is kind of guy. His extremely generous nature endeared him to many people. He had a love for kayaking, cycling, suduko and power tools. Mark moved from Detroit to Green Bay 10 years ago, then up to Door County for many years and recently had moved to De Pere, WI. His life will forever be cherished by his children; Ryan Thomas Schaut (21), Megan Olivia Schaut (19), his Brothers and Sisters, Lynne (Kitt) Proimos, Matthew (Jean) Schaut, Nancy Schaut, AnneMarie Schaut, Jennifer (Brian) Koss, Laura Buckley, Alan (Deb) Knight, Ellie Schaut (Mark West), and his significant other Laurie Nordin.
