IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marlene Mary
Drewiske
March 26, 1940 – August 23, 2023
Marlene Mary Drewiske, 83, passed away on August 23, 2023 with her children by her side. She was born on March 26, 1940 to Raymond and Gertrude (Smits) Van Derven. She lived her entire life in De Pere, Wisconsin and graduated from St. Joseph's Academy in 1958. She married Louis Milquet in 1960, and was widowed in 1967. She married Gerald Drewiske in 1972 and remained married for 51 years.
Marlene is survived by her husband, Gerald; six children, Amy (Jeff) Marks, Randal (Cathy) Milquet, Dan (Ann) Milquet, Trudy Drewiske, Angie Drewiske, and Jed (Katie) Drewiske; ten grandchildren, Kala, Kirsten, Elizabeth, Ben, Marley, Ernest, Jacoby, Pearl, Zoey, and Francis; five great-grandchildren, Adaline, Hayden, Gabriella, Michael, and Connor; her sister and best friend Judy (Harvey) Bartels, brother Tom Van Derven, sister-in-law Connie Turriff, and a special niece, Julie Hickmann.
She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Gertrude (Smits) Van Derven and her first husband Louis Milquet.
She went by many names, Marlene, Mar, Mom, Mama, Grandma Mar, and Grandma Angie to name a few, she didn't care which you used, just as long as you called her. Her best times were spent with family and friends and she liked it most when "all her ducks were in a row." She enjoyed many hours playing cards, there was always a deck in her purse, she was ready anytime! She was an avid Brewers and Packers fan. She liked to help anyone she could. She always ended a phone call by asking if there was anything she could do for you and letting you know that she was there if you needed her (and then proceeded to never say good bye). As her granddaughter Elizabeth said, "We all competed to be her favorite, but she was everyone's favorite."
