Mrs. Roy (Marlene) Wagner, 67, of De Pere, passed away Friday morning October 10, 2008. The daughter of the late Carl and La Verne (Simicek) Stoessner was born April 25, 1941 in Cleveland, OH.
On June 20, 1964, she married Roy Wagner in Medina, OH. The couple moved to De Pere, WI in 1979. Marlene started working for ShopKo when the new store opened in De Pere. She then transferred to the Distribution Center where she served for many years as receiving clerk. She cherished the many wonderful friendships she made at ShopKo Distribution over the years. Marlene enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading and flowers.
Survivors include her husband, Roy, two sons, Eric and Linda Wagner of Massachusetts, Kyle and Tammy, DePere, six grandchildren, Jenny, James, Ronica and Steven, and Colin and Alex, two great-grandchildren, Alisha and Westyn. One sister and two brothers-in-law, LaRue and Ira Surrarre, Ohio, and Paul Tucker, West Virginia. Her parents and one sister, Carla Tucker, preceded her in death.
Friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere, WI from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, October 13, 2008. Visitation will continue on Tuesday after 10:00 am at Bethany United Methodist Church 1110 Echo Lane, Green Bay, WI until time of service. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday at the church with the Rev. Randall Richter, officiating. Entombment in Shrine of the Good Shepard Mausoleum.
