Obituary

Mary Ann Jensen 86 of De Pere died Monday November 15, 2010 of natural causes. She was born May 29, 1924 in De Pere to the late Louis and Antoinette Smith. Mary Ann graduated from Nicolet High School. On February 23, 1952 she married the late Clifford L. Jensen. Mary Ann was the owner/operator of the "Snip & Tuck" Tailor Shop in Green Bay; she was also a longtime employee of Royal Cleaners. Mary Ann volunteered her time in the Bellin Gift Shop, taught sewing at NWTC, was an accomplished seamstress, had written an editorial column weekly for the Green Bay Press Gazette, and was a active member of the Green Bay Community Church. She is survived by her children; Mary (Philip) Franz, David (Rosie) Jensen, Walter (Linda) Jensen, Larry Jensen, Barb (Jerry) Swift, and April (Dan) Kocken. Her siblings further survive; John (Ruth) Smith, Fabian Smith, Florence (Larry) Glodoski, Joan (Jim) Rickaby, Carol Bain, Janice (Bill) Romenesko, and Janet Charles. 19 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren further survive her. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; Louis and Antoinette Smith, her husband Clifford Jensen, and her siblings; Bartholomew Smith, Elsie Schmidt, Dorothy Vogels, Neil Smith, and Rose Mary De Ruyter. Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street De Pere from 4 7pm Thursday November 18, 2010. Visitation will continue after 9am Friday at Green Bay Community Church 600 Cardinal Lane , Green Bay until time of service at 11am. Burial to follow in the West Danish Cemetery, Denmark.
