Mary A. Hazelwood, age 65, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, surrounded by her family. Mary was born on December 26, 1952 to the late James and Virginia (Rice) Murphy. She grew up in the Green Bay area, graduating from St. Joseph Academy. Mary went on to further her education at NWTC, receiving an associate degree in nursing. She worked as a nurse at St. Vincent Hospital in the Neuro-ICU for over twenty years and about a year and a half in the short stay unit. On December 9, 1988, Mary married the love of her life, Bob Hazelwood, at Nativity Church in Green Bay. Together they enjoyed camping and spending time with family. Mary also found joy in reading, as well as spending time with her pets. Mary is survived by her husband, Bob Hazelwood; daughter, Sarah (Chris) Schroeder; grandchildren: Griffin and Claire Schroeder; brother, John Murphy; mother-in-law, Audrey Nall; siblings-in-law: Mary Grace Murphy, Al Luedtke, Gwyn, Debra, David, and Casey; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in passing by her parents; siblings: Michael Murphy, Timothy Murphy, Richard Murphy, Sharon Luedtke, and Barbara McInnis; father-in-law, Warren Hazelwood; and step-mother-in-law, Ginger Hazelwood. A time of visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 7 p.m. on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere.
