Mary Joan (Staeven) Hendricks, 77, of De Pere, died Wednesday, June 30, 2010 after an extended illness. The daughter of the late Bernadette (Van Enkenvoort) Staeven and Norbert Staeven was born September 2, 1932 in De Pere. On June 16, 1951, she married Norbert Hendricks at St. Boniface Catholic Church in De Pere. Mary Joan worked at Ramada Inn before retiring. She enjoyed the outdoors doing hunting, fishing, and having her vegetable garden. She and Dad also enjoyed spending time at their cabin in Crivitz. Mary Joan is survived by her children Kathy (Robert) Guyant, Virginia (David) La Crosse, Steve (Barb) Hendricks, and Stanley (special friend Jackie) Hendricks; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Leona Sausen and Phyllis Hendricks; and brothers-in-law Ronald Hendricks, and Ray (Carol) Hendricks. Mary Joan was preceded in death by her husband Norbert Hendricks, son Christian "Chris" Hendricks, granddaughter Elizabeth Guyant, great granddaughter Morgan Van Danack, parents Bernadette and Norbert Staeven, mother and father-in-law Rosella and Fred Hendricks; brothers-in-law Fred "Sam" Hendricks, Kenneth Hendricks, and Bill Sausen; sisters-in-law Norma (Art) Vandommelen and Audrey Hendricks. Visitation will continue on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes, corner of Lourdes Ave and Suburban Dr, De Pere from 9:30 AM until Mass time.
