Mary Ellen Kazik, 63, of Seymour, died early Thursday, morning March 19, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 1, 1951 in Shawano, WI a daughter of John and Helen (Criscone) Powell. She married Earl Kazik on February 28, 1970 in Green Bay. Mary's greatest joy was being a mother but more so being a grandma. Family was truly important to her and she enjoyed cooking for the family and having leftovers for whoever wanted some. She enjoyed finding rummage sales and going to thrift stores. You could always find her redecorating the furniture at the house and even moving the yard art in the front lawn. Mary also enjoyed watching TV court shows all day, and she had a passion for reading. Mary is survived by her husband of 45 years Earl Kazik; her four children: Todd Kazik, Chad Kazik, Sheila (Tony) Krystof, and Joe Kazik; ten grandchildren: Alex, Keith, Dylan, Dillon, Christina, McKenzie, Ethan, Morgan, Brianna, and Ryan; great granddaughter Layla; her mother Helen Powell; siblings: Yvonne (Gary) Cornell, Janet Spaude, David Powell, and Darold (Gladys) Powell; nieces, nephews, friend of family Bruce Van Dreel. She is also survived by Earl's siblings: Eugene (Judy), Ervin (Karen), Melvin (Ellie), Pat (Linda), Edwin (Mailbu), Charlie (Steve), Jan (Amy), Ellen, Betty (Floyd), Angie (Mark), Elaine (Myron), Joanie, Evie, Eloise, and Nancy. She was preceded in death by her father John Powell; sister Karla Van Den Heuvel; brother-in-law Steve Spaude; and sister-in-law Linda Powell. Family and friends may visit from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 305 N. Tenth St, De Pere.
