IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary G.
Lampkin
December 5, 1939 – December 4, 2023
Mary G. (Sanders) Lampkin, 84, passed away peacefully at St Vincent Hospital, Green Bay, WI. with her two sons at her side on December 4, 2023. She was born on December 5, 1939, to Charles and Gwen Sanders in Green Bay WI.
Mary was a successful accountant her entire professional career. Throw in a couple of CFOs while you're at it. She was a tough woman. And knew how to do things the right way. She graduated from St Joseph's Academy in 1958 and began her adult life with a few children and lots of travel. Although never achieving a full degree she studied programing along the way among other studies that helped her succeed in her career. She married early in life to Fred Gribble and later in life found and married John Lampkin who became her soul mate. They loved each other so much and for so long it would melt your heart. They were joined at the hip. Her best friend in life was Nola VanHanselaere. Mary and Nola have been friends since grade school and have always stayed in touch throughout their lives. Nola would cruise into town occasionally and it was a pleasure to see them meet again.
Mary cared for and loved everyone no matter what. Just like her mom. She had a way about her that no one could escape. And thank you for that. Her touch could change your mind and change your heart. She never backed down from a fight and never would, and besides, you wouldn't know it until it was too late. She was special and always will be. Think of any time you may have spoken to her, and then think again. You know what I mean… She will love you always. She will love all of us forever. As we will her as well. Bless her heart.
Mary loved to read and do crossword puzzles, loved to walk, spend time with her husband and COOK for anyone who would have the capacity to eat. She saw the good in everyone and nurtured every bit of it.
Survivors include her sons Chad and Mark Gribble; Grandchildren Jeff VanCampenhout and Justin Rezek; Sister Kathy (Sanders) Pauze and Brothers Richard, Ralph, Jim and Bob Sanders and their significant others. Far too many to mention and believe me there are a lot.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Gwen Sanders, her husband (Cline) John Lampkin, her daughter Deena (Gribble) VanCampenhout, her sister Janet Sanders and brothers Tom and Joe Sanders.
Visitation will begin at Ryan Funeral Home 305 N Tenth St, De Pere, on Friday, December 8th from 5pm until 7pm. Visitation will continue Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Old St. Joseph Church, 100 Grant St. De Pere, WI, beginning at 9am until Mass of Christian Burial starting at 10:30 am with Fr. Michael Brennan O. Praem officiating.
In lieu of flowers or donations, the family would like to thank the St Vincent 9th floor staff of Doctors, Nurses and support groups for taking such loving care for Mary during her stay there. As well as the Unity hospice group who were thorough gentile, kind and loving. They had the upmost professionalism and were as kind and supportive as they come, offered above and beyond any comforts we may have needed while visiting Mary and with no complaints or hesitation. They were all amazing.
