Obituary

Mathilda "Tillie" Schampers, 91, formerly of De Pere, passed away Friday morning, December 12, 2008. She was born June 20, 1917 in Wrightstown to the late Reinhardt and Alvina (Zuelke) Haese. On June 8, 1940 she married Elmer Schampers. Tillie was a member of St. John Lutheran Church De Pere, as well as the Ladies Aid Society. She had worked at St. Norbert College in the Housekeeping Dept. for many years, She is survived by her children; Buck (Betty) Schampers, Seymour, Madeline (Dennis) O'Connor, Green Bay, and her son in law; John Kornowski. She is further survived by her 8 grandchildren; Tammy, Penny, Vickie, Gina, Jim, Pat, Tim, and Andy, as well as 7 great grandchildren, her brother; Donald (Jean) Haese, 2 sisters in law; Mary Lou Schampers, and Helen Haese, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer, a daughter Carolen Kornowski, her in laws; George (Victoria) Schampers. Tillie was also preceded in death by her siblings; Esther (Raymond) Krueger, Ellanora (Elzear) Peterson, Alfred Haese, Adela Haese, and members of Elmers family; Orville (Claire) Schampers, Edith (Norbert) Quinette, and Marvin Schampers. Friends may call after 9am Monday, December 15, 2008 at St. John Lutheran Church 1700 Lost Dauphin Road De Pere, until the Funeral Service at 11am With Rev. Brian Cain officiating.
