Max Elliott McKinney was born October 20, 2018, to Jon and Elizabeth McKinney of Green Bay, who have long awaited and joyfully anticipated his birth. He was—and will always be—the precious answer to their prayers.
Born at 24 weeks, Max spent 14 courageous days in NICU, surrounded by the best possible love and care. His parents were grateful to hold him as he took his last breaths on earth before being safely delivered into the arms of Jesus.
Though brief, his life matters. Max was created to glorify God. He did, and he is.
In addition to his parents, he leaves grandparents Bob and Tina McKinney, and Rob and Hope Hangen, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who love him dearly.
Max was preceded in death by his twin sister, Katherine "Kate" Elizabeth, who entered and left this earth on September 10, as well as an older brother, Miles Robert.
Because of the finished work of Jesus Christ, grief will not have the final word. Max and his siblings went directly to the One in Whose presence there is fullness of joy. Today, they are worshiping their Creator God, waiting for a reunion that promises to be spectacular.
The family is forever grateful to the care team at Bellin and the neonatal team at St. Vincent for their heroic efforts.
A service will be held Friday, November 16, at 1:30, at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth St. De Pere, with Pastor Paul Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Allouez Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday, November 16, from noon to 1:30 at Ryan Funeral Home. To help offset medical bills, memorials are directed with gratitude to the family of Max McKinney, care of Bay City Baptist Church or Ryan Funeral Home.
