Obituary

McKenna M Schink -Gerbers, opened her angel wings and danced her way to heaven on November 11, 2019 while at home surrounded by loved ones. McKenna was born on July 22, 1999 to parents Ben Gerbers and Sarah Schink-Roffers, both of De Pere, WI. McKenna lived a cherished 20 years of pure, amazing love. She brought joy and love into the hearts of everyone simply by her presence. She had a contagious smile and laugh that could touch and warm your soul. Within her lifetime, McKenna taught us so much about the true meaning of life and the boundless depths of love. McKenna loved to be around family and friends. She loved listening and dancing to music (especially the Dixie Chicks), going on long, bumpy stroller rides, weekly lunch dates, traveling up north, going on ranger and golf cart rides, laughing with her little brother Bobby and many cousins. She had a special way of showing her happiness with many smiles, giggles and belly laughs. For many years, McKenna attended Syble Hopp School and had the most incredible teachers, aides and therapists. She loved swimming in the pool, riding her tricycle, walking with the bronco, and enjoying the many activities Syble Hopp had to offer. She went on many outings with all of her friends like boating, fishing, bowling, lunches and even an overnight camp. McKenna was loved and adored by so many. Her sweetness will be sadly missed. She is survived by her parents; Ben Gerbers, Sarah and Jerry Roffers, her little brother Bobby. Grandparents; Tom and Linda Schingen, Mark and Connie Schink, Lee and Alice Roffers. Great Grandparents; Joyce Hoerning, Paul and Charlotte Schink, Ed Gerbers. Aunts and Uncles; Niki (Robbie) Jolin, Stephanie Gerbers, Justin Gerbers, Chas Schink, Melissa (Yavuz) Edgu, Polly Brauer, Kevin Roffers, Tammy (Matt Chevalier) Roffers. Her cousins; Henry, Lyla, Aydin, Emre, Alara, Natalie and Charlie along with many amazing great aunts, uncles and cousins. Her special caretaker, Tara Forst. The first person in heaven to see Mckenna run, sing and play is her Great Grandpa, Robert Hoerning. We have many very special Thank you's, to our parents, Tom, Linda, Mark and Connie, who stood by us, supported and guided our every decision with such wisdom and strength. They helped take care of McKenna her whole life, words can't express the gratitude in our hearts. Thank you for all of the love and support from Unity Hospice, Dr. Manning, Sarah, Justin, Traci, Leah, Calista and Christine. Thank you to all of the staff at Syble Hopp School, especially Spring, Michelle, Laurie, Pat, and Carol, you brought so much joy and love to Mckenna's life. Thank you to Dr. George Whetmore, and the staff at Prevea Pediatrics. Dr. Whetmore has been the most incredible doctor from the moment McKenna was born. He was our rock, and guided us through many difficult decisions always with such love, dignity and respect. Our hearts will be forever grateful. Thank you to Deacon Jerry Coenen for all of your love and spiritual guidance. In lieu of flowers a donation to Syble Hopp School
