Melanie Ann (Thompson) Challe, Green Bay passed away on Wednesday June 9, 2021. She was born August 22, 1977, to Debra Soch and Brian Thompson in Woodruff. Mel attended Lakeland Union High School, Minocqua, and then went onto earn a degree in Business Management and Small Business Entrepreneurship from NWTC. On April 27, 2012, she married Daniel Challe. Mel was employed at United Health Care for the last 12 years as a Customer Service Quality Supervisor. She was passionate about her job and enjoyed being part of the team at United Health. Never one to sit still, Mel volunteered at local shelters, Salvation Army and Coats-for-Tots. In her free time volleyball leagues, curling leagues, local 5k events, Tough Mudder's, wine and paint nights, TRIUMPH runs, and local concerts is what she enjoyed. Besides family and friends, Mel loved her two dogs Lars and Maverick, and four birds Peanut, Beepers, Ace, and Joker.
Mel is survived by her husband Daniel, her son Morgan Thompson, parents Debra Soch, and Brian (Jenifer) Thompson. Siblings; Stephanie (Jerry) Thompson, Jackie (Jake) LeFevre, Brian (Mallorie) Thompson, Jeremiah Behnke, and Leeann Behnke. Her grandma Carol Plasky, in-laws Dan Challe Sr., Debra Peterson, and brother and sisters in law; Troy, Rachel, and Jenny, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends.
Mel was preceded in death by her grandparents; Anne Johnson, Jack Thompson, and LeRoy Plasky.
