Michael "Mike" J Ambrosius, 65, De Pere, died unexpectedly as the result of a major heart event on Sunday January 31, 2021. Mike was born on August 18, 1955 to the late Ted and Betty Ambrosius. Mike graduated from West De Pere High School. On September 17, 1988, Mike married LouAnn Verhasselt. Born and raised on the family farm, Mike continued the legacy and took over Dutchman Creek Dairy Farm, which was est. in 1910. He took pride in a hard day's work and ending it with a bowl of popcorn. Mike is survived by his wife, LouAnn; daughters Karrie (Aaron) Gillette and Kelly (Erik) Conradson, son Marcus Frelich; grandchildren, Jada (Sam) Loomis, Gavin Gillette, Liam and Finnley Conradson. He is further survived by his brothers and sisters, Gary Ambrosius, Diane (Paul) Leahy, Dan (Tina) Ambrosius, Jim Ambrosius, & Ellen (Larry) Krueger. He held a special place in his heart for his nieces & nephews, godson Lucas, Lauren, Collin, James, Dana, Ashley, Christina, Ben, Josie, & godson Daniel. He is also survived by LouAnn's mother Helen Verhasselt & brothers, Russ Verhasselt, Mike (Mike Cushner) Verhasselt, & Dave (Katherine) Verhasselt. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted & Betty; father-in-law, Leo Verhasselt and many Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Family & friends may visit at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, 1307 Lourdes Avenue, De Pere, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.on Saturday, February 6, 2021. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Peter Ambting, O.Praem officiating. A live stream of the service will be available through the Ryan Funeral Home Facebook page. Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
