IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael Tony
Mendolla
September 6, 1934 – October 26, 2025
Michael "Mike" Mendolla – a man whose spirit was as unyielding as the pine trees he admired – passed away peacefully on October 26, 2025, surrounded by family, at the age of 91. He was a devoted husband, proud father, fiercely protective, loving grandfather & great grandfather. Michael leaves behind a lasting legacy of hard work, perseverance and dedication to provide for his family.
Born in Tyler, Texas to the late Estanislas & Bernabe (Navarro) Mendolla. He built a remarkable life alongside his beloved wife, Barbara, to whom he was married for an extraordinary 71 years. Together, they created a strong and caring family that includes three sons: Michael (Linda), Ricardo (Paula) and Tino (Jen) Mendolla; eleven cherished grandchildren and thirteen adored great-grandchildren.
Mike found peace and purpose in gardening and hunting. Known by those who loved him, he was tough as nails & delightfully stubborn, he approached life with grit and quiet determination. Mike dedicated 43 years to Georgia-Pacific – remaining through four company names changes – before retiring. His loyalty, frugality and incredible work ethic became the foundation of his life philosophy: save every penny. His discipline and dedication instilled a great work ethic in his sons, a value they continue to pass down to each generation.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Barb; his three sons and their families; his siblings Visenta, Stan, Mary, Peter and Judy; his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers: Frank, Paul and Joe Mendolla and his infant children Randy and Debbie.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 2pm until the time of service at 4pm at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N 10th Street in De Pere.
The Mendolla family would like to extend its sincere gratitude to the Bellin ICU and 4th floor staff, as well as the Unity Hospice staff for their unwavering care and support to our family and father as he faced his final days.
