Michael Joseph Murphy, age 69, of Appleton was peacefully set free from all his earthly struggles on Friday, October 6, 2017 in the arms of his wife. Mike was born in Green Bay, WI on November 19, 1947 to the late Helen (Gille) and Roland Murphy. On December 5, 1978, Mike was united in marriage to Nancy VanVonderen. Mike is survived by his wife, Nancy and their children, James (Candace), Brigette (Joseph) and Joshua, along with six grandchildren; his 3 children, Andrew (Nicole) Strauss, Jodi (Jason) Reiswig, and Lea Anne Murphy from his first wife Carol, along with 8 grandchildren. He is further survived by siblings Pat (Ann), Steve (Dawn), Joe (Ginny), Linda (Jeff), Judy, Sue, Sherry (Pat) and Connie (Tom) and numerous nieces and nephews. Mike will be greeted in heaven by his parents, his loving son Shane, youngest brother Tony and many in-laws. A memorial service in memory of Mike will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 St. Tenth Street, De Pere at 12:00PM. Visitation will take place after 10:00AM.
