Myron George "Mike" Hauser, 85, De Pere, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021. The son of Mathias "Math" and Francis (Gruber) Hauser was born on September 29, 1935. Mike grew up on a farm in Hilbert and graduated from Hilbert High School.
On July 11, 1959, Mike married Margaret "Maggie" Hess in Laona, Wisconsin. Together, they raised three children in Hales Corners.
Mike attended St. Norbert College and was an Engineer for Allen Bradley for over three decades. He served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1960 and continued in the Reserves until 1969.
He enjoyed sports on television and playing tennis. He also liked to read and spend time listening to his extended LP collection. Mike was a member of the De Pere Optimist Club and the St. Norbert College Alumni Board.
Mike is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Maggie; children, Susanne (Dan) Geraty, Tomahawk, James (Karen) Hauser, Green Bay and Kathryn (Tim) Slusher, Minneapolis; grandchildren, Mamie and Frank Slusher; Daniel Jr. (Amy) Geraty; and other members of his extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Math and Francis; siblings, Earl (Rosella) Hauser, Gordon Hauser and Dolores (Gerald) Steiner.
Family and friends may visit at St. Mary Parish, 4805 Sportsman Drive, De Pere, beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, July 30, 2021. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Matthew Faucett officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
