Mildred D. (House) VerBruggen, 82, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at a local hospital. She was born July 7, 1931 in Oneida, WI a daughter of the late Jonas and Cora (Morrison) House. Mildred worked in the food service at a number of locations. She enjoyed her time at St. Norbert College serving the Green Bay Packers during training camp. Mildred is survived by her children: Jeff VerBruggen, Steve (Pam) VerBruggen, Linda (Howie) Elliott, Ron VerBruggen, Greg (Kathy) VerBruggen, and Donald (Dawn) VerBruggen, Jr; 16 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; a sister Phyllis (Donald) Davids; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters Barbara Jean and Connie; grandson Trent; and siblings Joe House, Hank (Henry) House, Francis "Stich" House, Dorothy Lenchek, Bernice (Bede) Clark, Betty Smet, Lorraine Hanna, and Sue Weise. Family and friends may visit on Sunday, October 20, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at RYAN FUNERAL HOME &CREMATORY, 305 N. Tenth St, De Pere. Oneida Singers at 6:30 p.m., Prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday, October 21, 2013 from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Holy Apostle Episcopal Church, Oneida, WI. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m at church. Inurnment will be in Holy Apostle Episcopal Cemetery, Oneida, WI at a later date. Memorials are appreciated.
