He loved and lived for higher education.

Mitch served in the United States Marine Corps as a Military Policeman from 1990 to 1994 serving in Okinawa, Japan and Quantico, VA. When asked why he wanted to be a Marine, his comment would always be "it was the only branch of service that wasn't on the (family) wall."

On March 3, 1990, he married is wife Glenda and together, they built a life raising their daughter Kennedy, his pride and joy in any conversation.

He spent his career working for the Oneida Tribe of Indians, lastly working 26 years with the Higher Education Department. Prior, he was employed with the Oneida Security Department. His passion laid with helping and serving the Oneida Community.

Mitch enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, watching the Packers and Brewers, taking long walks with his dog, Murphy and watching Fox News. Often times driving through the reservation, he could be heard saying "I use to pick apples there," and "I use to hunt rabbits there."
